Last year I entered my first art contest, the 15th International ARC Salon held by the Art Renewal Center. Three of my paintings were chosen as finalists, to be printed in this year’s book (“Dark Side of the Moon”, “Ravel”, and “Strung”). The ARC Salon is very competitive and only 23% of the nearly 5,000 entries made it to finalists, so I am incredibly honored. In addition, my painting “Strung” was chosen to be in the exhibition that will be hosted by Sotheby’s, and then travel to Barcelona to be shown at the European Museum of Modern Art (MEAM). I will be attending the private and public opening at Sotheby’s, so if you will be in NY please come by and say hi. If you’d like to stay up to date about my personal art, please sign up for my newsletter on my other website www.amandaleejonesart.com.

The majority of works in the show will then travel on to the European Museum of Modern Art, (MEAM) in Barcelona, Spain from October 8th, 2021 – December 12th, 2021, joining additional works from the competition. Here it will hang alongside the MEAM’s representational painting and sculpture competition, Figurativas and a joint award ceremony will be held on October 8th. This awe-inspiring international event will showcase the true international nature and collaborative spirit of this new wave in Contemporary Art.”
